The Teaching Machine

"Its 8:00pm shall we start the class now." Topic was paper 1 of National eligibility Test (NET). Students from different college and university were allowed to attend this classes. 2 in the morning, break was taken and again on 2:15am sharply the class begins. Not a single student complaint anything. There was a cool morning breeze and the birds were chirruping. The class was in full flow and everyone was focusing on the lecture. When the topic was coming to the end, needles of the clock were coming close. And finally the clock tik on 8 am, and  topic got over. No one had ever thought that they will become a part of history by sitting in a class for 12 consecutive hours. Till yet no one had taken class as long as this. The person who was behind this scene is Known for his teaching skills, he brought many laurels for his family and Nagpur city. He is a Teaching Machine of Nagpur University, Dr.  Anilkumar Karwande, former Principal of Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education. Karwande is conducting classes for National Eligibility Test (NET) and State Eligibility Test (SET) since 1993, more than 300 students from different universities had cleared this exam and achieved their dream just because of this personality.
                             "Generally I need 3 to 4 hours, to warm-up myself. Then as I get warm-up I go into the details of the topic. That allow students also to understand the topic easily. As before when I enter in the class I revised everything what I taught before. If I am starting new topic, I take few hours just to understand them what topic we are going to study and how much it will help them in future and in exam," said Karwande, who worked as Chairman for Physical Education Bal Bharti, Pune. 
                            He has inspired and motivated
many students. He never takes even a single penny from a student. He does everything for this society. After his retirement, he started focusing more on his classes. And planned to open his centre in other cities as well. 
                             Currently he is working as a President of 'Kreeda Bharti Vidarbha Prant'. He has been also nominated as Member of 'Board of  Management' Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Deemed University, Gwalior.
                        Yet, a humble Karwande says he did nothing and merely uncorked a fizzy bottle of soda. "I was a mere connector. Let me be honest in telling you that the students had tremendous potential, NET/SET was a rallying point and I merely connected the two. And everything worked very well for us," says Karwande. 
                         For his commitment of creating positive classroom environment that supports students'. Development and academic growth helped many aspirants to achieve their goals and get placed in reputed college as a lecturer. 
He is an inspiration to students, teachers and families in the community he serves. He began his career after his graduation only. The passion for teaching to students is apparent in every aspect of his career. 
                          He is the champion of his campus and was responsible for launching the NET/SET classes that too free of cost for students who wants to achieve their dreams. The impact of his classes on his students brought them to tear, just knowing others were experiencing their dreams around the world.
                        "I am a big fan of his teaching, mostly his classes are of 3 to 4 hours. To be frank we never got bored of it. We liked it. I cleared my SET exam just because of him. He was my mentor. Whenever I came across doubts, I straight away used to go to his office and get cleared. He never scold us that we are asking doubt that to in his office. He used to appreciate us and motivate us," says Roshan Gupta, who was among the 12 hours class history. 
                  Karwande work as a supervisor for PhD in Nagpur University. Around 25 research scholars have been awarded PhD by Nagpur University. The believes in lifelong teaching and the importance of regularly engaging in resourceful training modules like NET/SET classes which he started helps to fulfil others' dreams and gives him happiness and makes him proud of the work he is doing.
                  'Teaching machine' Karwande had started online coaching through whatsapp group for  NET/SET/JRF aspirants and that to free. This all started when Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) was promoting online education. 
                    And this is how the teaching machine brought forward the idea of WhatsApp teaching. This has brought thousands of students from the top 20 universities in India under his mentoring.#pkyblog #pkyvlog
